Previous Names: Picture Theatre

The Picture Theatre was opened in 1914. Sometime during World War I it was re-named Gaiety Cinema.

Always independently operated, it was closed in mid-1934, soon after the Odeon Theatre opened in the town.

It has since been demolished, and housing has been built on the site.
