Located in the southwest London district of Wimbledon. The Queens Picture Theatre was opened in 1914. In 1925, it was re-vamped and re-named New Queens Cinema. It was re-named Phoenix Cinema in 1931, and in 1932 it was re-named Savoy Cinema. It was closed in 1935 after the building was purchased by Oscar Deutsch, and it was demolished.

A new Odeon Theatre was built on an enlarged site by Oscar Deutsch’s Odeon Theatres Ltd. chain, which opened in April 1936.
