The Krikorian Premier Theatres in Corona was designed by the Chattanooga-based architectural firm Artech Design. Photos of it can be seen in the entertainment projects section of their web site’s portfolio (for this theater click on the fifth thumbnail photo down in the right column of the page.)

Exterior photos are now on Cinematour. I took them two days ago on my way to San Diego. An interior lobby photo is on the Big Cinemas website. Its your typical Krikorian interior for their new theaters.

They should turn this theater into a dollar theater that shows slightly older releases for cheaper prices. it would bring in a crowd still, especially in an economy that would rather wait for movies to go to red box than pay $11 dollars per ticket, $8 for popcorn, $5 for candy, And $6 for a soda per trip to the nearest theater. They had one in corona a long time ago and got rid of it. This is the time to bring it back.

This theater shall be reopening before the end of the month under the management of Phoenix Big Cities, based in Knoxville, TN; upgrades are planned. It will be now known as the Dos Lagos Stadium 15: View link

Previously operated by Krikorian Premiere Theaters.

Has the theater even been built on the Google Map Photo?

Anyone have more info or photos?

This center was planned before the economy collapsed. They had wagered, not only that the area would continue to boom, but that there would be a demand for more screens in the immediate future. Obviously, it was a bet they lost.

SoCal/The Movie Experience was originally supposed to operate the theatre, but they dropped out shortly before the development was completed (perhaps, they saw the proverbial writting on the wall). Krikorian stepped in to manage the theatre (i.e. they didn’t build or own it).

While I’m sure someone else will take over management of the theatre, the entire complex is folding up at an alarming rate. The Dos Lagos center simply suffers from poor timing; a situation which doesn’t show any signs of improving in the near future.

Too many screens in this area period. This theater would have worked if it was located closer to Lake Elsinore which is really lacking a good theater. But they built it close (a mile or so) south of the wildly busy and successful Corona Crossings 18. Even if this theater was located in West Corona it may have been successful but in the middle of nowhere, with development of new homes stalled it was doomed from the beginning. If they would have made this area more like a destination than what it is.

Other theaters in the area include the AMC Tyler Mall 16.

Too many screens even in Southern California.
