The small town of Newnan had a no frills drive-in located right outside of town. The 485 car capacity drive-in was huge fo a small town, which might have been the reason it had only one drive-in. It was owned by LAM Amusements who were located in Rome, Georgia, and ran several North Georgia theatres, most today would consider to be in Atlanta.

Open 1955-1980?

Open for sure in 1967.

The Newman Drive-In was located on Jackson St. (Hwy. 29) at The Blvd. just down from Millard Farmer Industrial Blvd. (State Rte. 34).

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is visible on Google Earth using historic aerial imagery.
