PARK Theatre building; Wautoma, Wisconsin.

Viewing: Photo | Street View

The Park Theater was operating prior to 1941 and continued until a least 1950.

This small town movie theater has been converted to an indoor shopping mall with boutique shops. It still retains its theater appearance on the outside. The inside is chopped up into small stores and the ceiling has been lowered, so no architectural details are apparent. Halfway through the mall, there is a small display of pictures of the building when it was still a theater

Interestingly, the front shop in the former lobby area is a candy store which also sells popcorn.

Here’s a photo from 1967. Looks like the theater had been closed a long time by then. http://tinyurl.com/2e4n5xq
