The Pickwick Theatre was located on the 100 block of S. 2nd Avenue, in the small town of Mayodan, N.C. It was opened in 1933 and closed in 1964. It was operated by Colonial Theatres, a chain who owned drive-ins and walk-ins in North Carolina. Home of office was like so many small Circuits located in the Colonial Theatre Building in Valdese, N.C.

Was this theatre also known as the Pickwick Theatre?

This was the Pickwick Theatre not the Mayo, It opened in August of 1933 with 300 seats. It was operated by Colonial Theastres from 1945 through its closing in 1964. The Pickwick was the only theatre in Mayodan. It was located in the 100 block of S. 2nd St. and has been demolished.
