There is only one projectionist living in Augusta from the carbon-arc and changeover days,he has been so helpful in the history of the theatres and Drive-ins here in Augusta,Ga. and Aiken,S.C. that I have been able to get on CT. I guess I wouldn’t be a old-timer manager working in the business from 1974 to 84 from Doorman to management,but boy i have stories.sadly alot can’t go on CT.take care.

Thanks, I used to know many “old-timers” stage hands and projectionis and managers. I loved to hear their shoe biz stories.

I did research on the Silent movie houses in Augusta,Ga.I was amazed at how many we had in those days,Baltimore,being much larger I bet had quite a few silent movie theatres.Some you may never know about unless you really hit the books and research it.Hope you find more Jack!
