The Loop Drive-In was located in Texarkana, Arkansas it was owned and operated out of New Orleans by Joy’s Theatres, Inc. Joy N. Houck the president. In the late-1950’s it was the only drive-in in this city and parked 350 cars.

This one was at the southwest corner of Broad Street (US 67) and E. 18th Street, next door to Texarkana High. The shape of the drive-in is somewhat visible, but a business is located on the property now.

There was also the Joy’s Twin Drive-In that was in operation during the late-1950’s located on Hampton Rd. Originally operated by Leo Theatres, Inc.

Was this also the 67 Drive-In in the late 1960’s.
@Mike: The 67 Drive-In was on US 67 on the Arkansas side, and the Loop Drive-In was on US 71 on the Texas side.
Rick, if that is the case then the header needs to be corrected and the intro is wrong also.
