TYPICAL AD FOR THE ROYAL THEATRE

The Royal Theatre was open in 1940 and was one of three theatres located on Main Street. Seating was listed at 390. All three theatres were operated by Commonwealth Theatres.

After closing in the late-1950’s the building was demolished and a new building built on the site housing a radio station.
