Idea Theatre

The Idea Theatre opened on June 5, 1905. Though it was built as a vaudeville house, the theater’s opening program featured a movie produced by the Edison company. In 1911, the Idea Theatre began showing feature films. The theatre survived a projection room fire in 1913, and continued to operate into the early 1920s. It closed sometime around 1924.
