Meridian Theatre

Today the Meridian Theatre stands in ruin. Two Greek white columns supported a graceful arched concrete facade that was accented in scarlet tones.

Seen in snapshots on the link listed below are views of the theatre exterior and auditorium seating.

Ah, in general here on CT, the Official Website section should be used for a URL that points to an operating theater’s sponsored page that lists showtimes, location, phone numbers, etc., or to that of an organization that supports or maintains a theater. Except perhaps for an organization that is trying restore or renovate a theater, it is kind of odd that a derelict theater would have an an “official” page listed.

Mr. Greenbird’s post didn’t list the related website as “official”.
Many of us enjoy learning about former cinemas, even those found in ghost towns.
Auditorium chairs can be seen in far left photos (ten and eleven down).

A most interesting post!
On Roadside Oklahoma’s photo page, what appears to be balcony chairs are shown photo left, 12 down.
Judging from descriptive passages, I am guessing the ruined facade image to be that found photo right, 8 down. Is that right, Mr. Greenbird?

Those pictures look like they were taken in the abandoned church to me. Unfortunately, fire insurance maps only go to 1919, and there are no theatres shown up to that time.
