Open ~1925-~1935? Can anyone verify the exact dates?
Need an address or crossroads, more info and photos.
A 2004 Altus Times article says that the house that later became the Plaza Theatre had opened in 1928 as the New Empire Theatre. I would imagine that it was a replacement for an earlier Empire Theatre. The article does say that the lots on which the New Empire was built had been vacant, so any earlier Empire Theatre must have been at a different location.
From what I found the Empire was an early Nickelodeon.
