The Washita Theatre was operating prior to 1950 and was still open in 1956. It was closed for a while, then reopened on October 24, 1958 and possibly closed on March 2, 1959 with Charlton Heston in “The Ten Commandments”. It was converted into a factory in 1961.

Not much left of the commercial district in Hammon, so don’t know if one of these remaining buildings on Broadway and Main once housed a small cinema.

After a period of inactivity, it was reopened for the final run beginning on October 24, 1958 and may have closed following “The Ten Commandements” on March 2, 1959. The former Washita Theatre building was transformed into a factory in 1961 for Micro Industries.
