Peninsula Twin Drive-In

The Peninsula Drive-In opened as a single screen, and in the later part of the 1970’s a second screen was added. I found two car capacities listed at 400 and 600 so I am assuming that the single screen was 400 and the twin was 600. I found a copy of an old playbill listing the address and what was showing for the week.

The Peninsula Drive-In closed in the 1980’s and has since been demolished. There is an Extended Stay Hotel where the entrance of the drive-in once stood.

Closed ~1982? Can anyone verify the exact date?

After it closed the Snack Bar Building was used as an indoor firing range.
