A drive-in that lasted from the 1960’s to at least 1987. The real estate was owned by the local Fox theater chain but the drive-in may have been operated by Budco for at least part of its existence.

Yes, it was operated by Budco Theaters out of Doylestown,Pa. Budco operated several Fox owned theaters. As a district manager this was one of my theaters. rg

Approx. address for this drive-in was 4319 U.S. 130.
I ran this dr-in for a time in the 70’s when Budco had it. My dist. mgr. was Ed Woolman. I remember a time when we had cars lined up from rt. 130 to the box office, & a guy handed the cashier a nickel, he thought he was in line for the Bristol bridge…
According to Google Earth the side of the drive-in faced Garden Blvd. and the rear faced Cooper St. That makes the address given by jwmovies incorrect. The foot print of the drive-in can be seen on the Google Earth in the photo section posted by Drive-In 1954.
What is there now?
Mikeoaklandpark – I’m an Edgewater Park resident and I hate to inform you that it’s been empty and degrading for years, which is really sad (I even remember the last movie I saw there when I was 7 or 8). Within the next 2 years it will be demolished and they’re building homes on the site. They may have already started to tear down what’s left out there.
Chuck1231. It’s actually way off of Cooper and Rt. 130, there was an access road to get to it from Cooper Street but I don’t think you could get into it from the highway. You can’t see it from North Garden or South Garden (S.Garden would have been the actual street it backs up to but you couldn’t access it from there.
