Located in the Manuka suburb of the capitol city of Australia. The Capitol Theatre was opened in the late-1920’s, and became the premier cinema in the city. Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels.

In the 1980’s, there was a strong campaign to prevent demolition, but this failed.
