Opened as the C&C Drive-In in 1942 and was owned by J.A. Cross & C.C. Cattlett, thus naming it the C&C. The drive-in had a 300 car capacity. The name was changed to Pitts Drive-in after the Pitts Theatre chain took over ownership in the early-1950’s. Pitts also operated the Park Theatre in downtown. In 1970 Pitts was merged with the R/C Theatres and the name was again changed and became the Front Royal Drive-In. It has been demolished and is now the site of a mini storage facility.

The Pitts remained on the side of the Southwestern Style screen tower. The drive-in closed on Labor Day 1982 with a dusk-to-dawn lineup.

Any further information or corrections to this theatre would be appreciated.
