Airport Drive-In

The Airport Drive-In opened in 1951 and had a 200 car capacity. It was located down the road from the Galax Airport. From 1983 thru its closing in the late-1980’s it played adult films.

Any further information or corrections to this drive-in would be appreciated.

I have it parking 175 cars in 1956 and owned by R.F.Jones.

Mike, where are you getting your car counts from? They seem to be consistantly off.

This drive-in was located just south of Pipers Gap on S. Main Street. Approx. address 1007 S. Main St. (Hwy 89)
