Opened May 8, 2009 Joliet, IL: New Cinemark Theater Opens in Joliet Mall Friday, May 8, 2009 [May 4, 2009]
Cinemark just closed the discount theater that was near the mall. I believe it was an 8 screen location, before building the new theatre at the mall they had the 8 screen and an older 6 screen that closed the same day they opened this new location. The 6 screen has been demolished and the land sits empty, plans are for a Dicks Sporting Goods and DSW to take over the area where the 8 screen was.
