KEYSTONE THEATRE

This nickelodeon was built in 1908 by Harry Hartman and seated 300 patrons. It was heated by pot bellied stoves and cooled by electric fans.

This was Hartmans first theatre having previously worked in other nickelodeans in both Kutztown and Cattasauqua. He went on to operate two more theatres in Northampton.

The theatre closed sometime in the late-1910’s. The site is currently the location of the Verizon telephone company building.
