Opened as the Hyland Drive-In on July 21, 1948. The drive-in opened as a single screen. In 1961 after a four hundred thousand dollar remodel and a second screen added it reopened as the Highland Drive-In. The drive-in closed in 1982 and was later demolished. Any further information on this drive-in would b e appreciated.

It parked 600 cars in 1956 and was owned by Hyland Theatre Company.M.S.Smart, Mgr.

The address in the header is correct and Google does map it properly. It is South Highland Dr.
I lived at 5500 S. Redwood Rd., we would take 3900 South to South Highland Dr. to go to the drive-in. From Temple square all streets went North, East, South and West.
