Oakville Theatre

Long closed single screen theater that is now converted to apartments. There was a story in Boxoffice magazine dated November 24, 1951 on page 45:

Oakville, Wash. – This community is to have a new theatre. Construction of the concrete block building, 51 feet by 110 feet, has been commenced by Frank M. Gwinn, nephew of the late Cecil Gwinn, who at one time owned the Montesano Theatre.

Note that sometimes the address of this theater may be listed as 203 U.S. 12, Oakville, Wash. 98568. The name of the road changes from Highway 12 to East Pine Street in the town. Once you leave town the name changes back to Highway 12. Theater building is located next to a bank.
