AMC opened the Tri-City 8 on July, 13, 1990. A few of the opened features were, “Aliens”, “Club Paradise”, “The Patriot”, “The Karate Kid Part II” and “Americian Anthem”.
Any further information on the Tri-City would be appreciated.

Lots of problems here, Chuck.
(1) Tri-City 8 opening date was July 18th (not 13th), (2) Tri-City 8 opening year was 1986 (not 1990), (3) Tri-City 8 was located in Largo (not Clearwater), and (4) Tri-City 8 already has a page in the CT database.
Methinks confusion increases when insisting that a theatre be referred to by it’s chain name. It’s not the “AMC Tri-City 8”. It’s AMC’s “Tri-City 8 Theatres”.
If the theatre changed ownership tomorrow, it is no longer the Tri-City 8 Theatre, it just belongs to somebody else.
As for Clearwater/Largo confusion — they all pretty much run into each other over there. I drove up and down Dale Mabry in circles trying to figure out if the mapping software was trying to put a Pinellas Park address into Clearwater or the other way around.
AMC website lists it as Clearwater. The AMC Tri City 8 I got from their website also. The opening date that I put of 1990 was from my notes which was meant for the Hollywood USA, so that is my mistake. The date came from a copy of the Grand Opening Ad from both the Tri City 8 and the Seminole 8 Theatre which was to open a week later on the 25th.
Theatre chains often list their theatres to coincide with where the locals believe it to be. It may be in both Largo and Clearwater, who knows.
Either way — duplicate listing.
It may have a Clearwater mailing address, but it is within the City of Largo. I have some pictures linked on the original entry.
