This was a twin cinema that served the Newport area from the late-1960’s into the 1980’s. The entrance was under the “CHIROPRACTOR” sign, and until a recent remodel the attractions windows still existed. The theaters are home to an auction house.

The Newport Twin Cinemas was opened by Automated Theatres Of America in 1970. I installed the automated 16mm Zeiss Ikon projectors when the theatres opened. It was taken over when ATA went bankrupt in 1971. One of the opening pictures was “MASH”.
