A small gem of a theater in colonial Chestertown, Maryland. This theater is unassuming and nestled in so discreetly that if you blink, you’ll miss it.
Recently restored to its original lush colors, this theater has been reopened to allow for rentals, live performances as well as movies.

Here is a photo of the Prince Theater.
1985 photo of the Prince Theatre. Does anyone know if at one time this theatre was also called the Chester Theatre?

The Prince was known as the Chester Theater back in the ‘50s. I lived in Chestertown from 1948-1964. Went to the movies many times back then.
