The Strand Theatre is listed in the 1941 edition of Film Daily Yearbook as part of the T & D Jr. Enterprises chain. There is no seating capacity given, which is usually an indication of a newly opened theatre. In the 1943 edition of F.D.Y. it is listed with 800 seats and (Closed).
