Located in the town of Lappeenrant in the east of Finland. The Cinema Nuijamies opened in either late-1953 or early-1954. The modern styled 506-seat cinema was purpose built to screen CinemaScope films, and was the second cinema in Finland to have this facility.

In recent years a second screen has opened in an adjacent building.
