Located in the south Sydney suburb of Hurstville. The Savoy Theatre was operating prior to 1951, when it was part of the Suburban Cinemas Property Ltd.

I am told it had a theatre organ, possibly a Wurlitzer, the console of which was on a lift in the orchestra pit.

This theatre was rehabbed and renamed the Mecca before it was demolished and there’s an entry here under that name. It did indeed have an organ which was on a small round stage with an illuminated top.
