This theatre was open in 1934 with Joan Crawford in “Dancing Lady”. It was located two doors away from the Byrd Theatre, and was a remodel of an existing brick building, with seating listed at 520. It was operated by Wilmer & Vincent and closed in 1958.

A permit for alterations of a building at the northeast corner of Westhampton (now Cary Street) and Colonial Avenues for use as a theater was issued in 1933. Architect for the remodeling was H. Carl Messerschmidt. The correct address of the Carillon Theatre is 2820 Cary Avenue.
