Opened in 1999, it was operating as the Destinta Chartiers Valley 20 when Destinta decided to exit the greater Pittsburgh area in the summer of 2012. After being closed for a few days, it was reopened under the management of Phoenix Big Cinemas of Knoxville, TN as the Chartiers Valley Stadium 18 in August of 2012.
