Hoyts Strand Theatre

Located in central N.S.W. town of Young, to the northwest of Canberra. Designed in an Arts and Crafts style, the Strand Theatre was opened on 30th April 1923. It was independently operated until around 1956, when it was taken over by the Hoyts Theatres chain. It became the Hoyts Strand Theatre in 1962. The Hoyts Strand Theatre was closed in 1973.

The building is now in retail use as a Rivers Outlet clothing superstore.
