The Barksdale Field Air Force Base Theatre was opened prior to 1941. Located in Building 4235, on the Northeast corner, the second building North. In September 2012, Adults $3.50, Children $1.25.
“Nothing is better than getting to go to watch and not have to spend over $20.00. It cost $3.00 for adults $1.20 for children. Movies play Fri. Sat. and Sunday.” Jenifer E. May 12, 2005.
It was closed in October 2012, and was demolished.

Scheduled to close do to no funds for conversion to digital projection.

I think it should be noted that this closing, like a number of other recent closings of military base theaters, is a closing of the theater as a scheduled cinema by AAFES; the theater will remain in use for other purposes.
Sadly – the theater closed in October of 2012. The theater did not remain open but was demolished to make more parking. A historic place lost for all time.
