Located in Bass Hill, a district to the outer west limits of Sydney. The Skyline Drive-In was opened on 14th November 1956 with Richard Widmark in “The Last Wagon”. It was the the third Skyline Drive-In theatre to open in Sydney, and was operated by Consolidated Drive-In Theatres Corp, who had as their shareholders independents, Hoyts and Great Union.
The entrance to the drive-in was altered in 1981 when adjacent land was sold for development. Greater Union purchased Hoyts shareholdings in July 1982, and they became the prominent shareholders of Consolidated.
The Bass Hill Skyline Drive-In was still open in 1985.
