Located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The word ‘nunpa’ means ‘two’ in Lakota. The building was specifically designed as a twin-screen cinema and took three years of planning and construction. It was was funded by a loan from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. The Nunpa Theatre was opened on November 2, 2012.
