Plaza Cinema

Located in the small New Forest town of Lyndhurst, Hampshire. The Plaza Cinema was opened around 1933. It had a 16 feet wide proscenium. It was equipped with a Mihaly sound system. In 1936 this was changed to a British Thomson Houston sound system.

In 1955 it was equipped with CinemaScope, that had a 14 feet wide screen. The Plaza Cinema closed around 1957.

It has since been demolished, the current building on the site in 2012 houses Desire jewelers and a bistro cafe & tea-rooms.
