Lane Theater, Upper Arlington, Ohio

A neighborhood second-run theater in the Upper Arlington suburb of Columbus, Ohio. The Lane Theater was built by Leo Yassenhoff as part of the Lane Shopping Center. The Lane Theater opened on December 16, 1948 with Red Skelton in “A Southern Yankee”. All seating was on a single floor.

The Lane Theater closed during September 1958 because of the demand for retail store space in the shopping center and it became a supermarket. It was part of the Academy Operating Co. chain.
