Not much information on this yet, but this was built in downtown Honolulu as the Asahi Gekijo (Asahi Theater), where sumo and other athletic events were held, along with plays.

At some point it became one of Chinatown’s adult film venues before shutting down as a theater for good. The Hong Fa Market is now in its place.

Apparently this was the Oahu Theater as well (one of two different theaters called the Oahu), and ended up becoming the Rex.
