Pavilion Cinema

Located in Cleveleys, a district to the north of Blackpool, Lancashire. The Kinematograph Year Book for 1914 has only one cinema for Cleveleys: the Pavilion Cinema; proprietor Will Beanland. No other information is given.

In KYB for 1931 it is called Beanland’s Pavilion Cinema; again no other information, other than the phone number and nearest station (Thornton Cleveleys).

KYB 1942 and 1947 have the name as Pavilion Cinema with H.J. Barlow as owner. There are 350 seats, a 21.5 foot proscenium, a 20 foot deep stage, four dressing rooms and Western Electric sound.

KYB 1954 has owners Magnet Entertainments of Wolverhampton and the 1947 details for seating, proscenium and sound.
