The Hidaglo Theatre was opened on August 26, 1922 and catered for the Spanish speaking community. The Sanborn Maps of 1928 labeled the building at this location as “Mexican Theatre", so it is assumed that they showed Spanish-language movies.

The Film Daily Yearbook of 1931 listed the 300-seat Hidalgo Theatre as closed. It was later demolished, as the Sanborn Maps of 1950 show no building at this location.
