The New Wadesonian Theatre was opened May 3, 1936, with seating listed as 576. The theatre closed in the mid-1950’s. It was larger than the original Wadesonian Theatre on 2nd Avenue N., which closed several years later after the larger New Wadesonian Theatre opened. The theatre is now an antique shop.
