The Lincoln Theatre was open in 1930 with seating listed at 200. We did verify the address in the City Directory of 1930. No closing date listed for the theatre but the building now houses the Whole Truth Church.

Any additional information on the Lincoln Theatre would be appreciated.

Being in the South and named Lincoln, this was most likely an African-American theater. Back in the Jim Crow days no self-respecting white Southern theater operator would have named a theater for the white audience “Lincoln”.

I believe this theater’s name was changed to The Ritz in it’s later years.
