The Yadkinville Theatre was open as early as 1940. There are no city directories to check beyond that. The theatre had seating for 300 patrons. It closed in the mid to late-1950’s.
Today the building houses a pawn shop. The theatre was operated by Queen City Booking. If a resident currently wants to see a movie in Yadkinville, there is an occasional movie screened at the Willingham Cultural Center on E. Main Street.
