The Princess Theatre operated from around 1913 to 1916. Listed in the 1913-1914 Mount Airy city directory at 63 S. Main Street. The Grand Theatre opened in 1928 at the same address. It is unknown if the Princess Theatre was demolished and replaced by the Grand Theatre or portions of the former Princess Theatre building were incorporated into the later Grand Theatre.
