The Hawkins Theatre was open in 1939. Seating was listed at 250. The Hawkins Theatre closed in the late-1950’s.

The Hawkins theater in Newellton, LA. was owned by my great-grandfather Edmond I. Hawkins who owned a small theater chain in the South. I will be posting photos and memorabilia from the theater in the near future.
