The Strand Theatre was open by the early-1950’s. It could accomodate 405 patrons. It was owned by Mr. James Heard who had theatres throughout Southwestern Louisiana. The theatre closed in the mid-1960’s. The building is now occupied by the Southwestern Louisiana Vet. Clinic.
