There were two other cinema’s in the Ogmore Valley….. The Ogmore Vale Workman’s Hall and the Nantymoel Workman’s Hall…..

This cinema was opened c.1914/1915 and was located on High Street, Ogmore Vale which is not in the Maesteg Valley which is two valleys over and the map pin is showing it in the Garw Valley, which is in the next valley.

It was also a bingo hall last going off before it was shut, when it was burned down and demolished, though half of the facade is still visible.

The original organist, Dag Pryor was awarded the military Medal during World War One and Capt Fred Barter VC, his brother in law visited during World War One😀
