The Dixie Theatre was opened by 1914. The 395-seat Dixie Theatre was just a block and a half from the larger Hippodrome/Strand Manos Theatre (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). Both the Dixie Theatre and the Manos Theatre were operating in the early-1950’s but by the late-1950’s the Dixie Theatre had closed. The building is now used for retail.
