I regret that I cannot now recall how I knew about this former cinema! There’s a listing in the 1944 edition of Kine Year Book for a 300-seat Orange Hall Cinema in Bushmills, operated by H.Black. Otherwise, no reference to it in other Kine Year Books I have, so it’s possible I was alerted to it, in September 2008, while on my travels across the province. If anything comes to light I’ll add a comment below! (In November 2013, RS Country Furnishing still appears to occupy the building.)

There are entries for the Orange Hall, proprietor H. Black, 300 seats in the Kine Year Book for 1940 and 1942.

The Palladium Cinema was first listed in the Kine Year Book in 1945 (no sign of Orange Hall). The proprietor was Raymond Stross Cinemas, College Square East, Belfast, 200 seats. This is repeated in the 1946 edition. The 1946, 1948 and 1950 editions have no listings for Bushmills.
