Lindsay Twin Drive-In

The Lindsey Drive-In was opened around 1953 with a capacity for 350 cars. A second scren has been added.

Looks to have a very short season if their last weekend was Labor Day. Pretty big expense putting in 2 barco projectors that will only be used a few months each year.

Their Facebook page has a picture of the marquee listing May 9, 2014 as the opening day for next season. They are also 80 miles north of Toronto. So, they are dealing with a possible colder climate and defintely later sunsets.

Nibbles of info from my Motion Picture Almanacs:

1953-59: capacity 350, owner H. J. Ochs.

1963: 350, National Bkg. Co.

1969-76: 350.

Also, Larry Baxter owned the Lindsay from 2000 (according to his LinkedIn page) until Danny Zita bought it in 2015.
