In 1912 there was a motion picture business operating at 299 Grand Street by Salkin & Salkin. By 1918 at adjacent 301 Grand Street, the 600-seat Plaza Theatre had opened.
The Plaza Theatre operated until 1929. Since demolished, housing is now at this address.
